I most definitely dream in color. This is not news to me
for this, I have always been aware and have often wondered why people (who aren't color blind) say they don't dream in color or don't remember if they do or not.
Not only do I dream in color, I tend to see colors that I don't see in everyday life. These colors are vivid and layered in hues. Sometimes I see these colors on my computer when I'm working with graphics. Perhaps in my dreams I am recalling these vivid colors seen from using graphics software filters.
So then I guess I dream in a stylized CMYK or RGB mode.
But Adobe isn't getting all the credit for enhancing my visual experiences while walking between the worlds. I've seen better hues (and better days) in dreams before I ever looked at a computer. I remember telling someone about this when I was 23 years old.
I distinctly remember saying: "It's like all of the colors that we can see are only a fraction of what is really out there. As if God has the master crayon box and has chosen to only give us 3 colors out of that box."
I like that analogy-philosophy. And I like the spelling of color -- as: colour.
How beautiful -- all of the variations we were able to find from those three colors. Let there be light!
and then some.
From what I understand to be true, animals don't dream in color. But I'm not sure that is accurate. Our pets indeed dream, but perhaps not in the colors we perceive. On this, I'm more interested in knowing what they dream about. Wish they could tell us.
We know that
Bugs Bunny dreams of Jeannie (she's a light brown hare). *grin*

I've taken on a phrase since I moved to Dixie in '97. Y'all is singular. Y'all is plural. All
y'all's is plural possessive. Works for me! Y'all know what I mean?

They say that waking up is hard to do ...
I'm on my first cup of coffee this morning and now recall telling my husband that I would do something for him today. He asked me when I was half asleep in bed while he was up getting ready for work. I remember telling him that I would do it today .. but I don't remember what it was I said I would do. Hmm .. hope it wasn't too important. Perhaps I'll recall on my third cup of caffeine. Sometimes that works.

Last Night's Dream
..
Pat Simmons of the Doobie Bros. Boy
I had such a thing for him in my teen and 20s years. In my dream, I was in an abandoned elementary school yard and just past the sandbox was Pat Simmons at the swing set .. swinging his infant daughter. I walked up to him and said hello
told him what a cute baby he has and then asked him how old she is now.
"She's 29 years old now." He told me as he continued to swing the infant. "She moved away and I hardly ever see her."
I said, "Yeah .. my son is 13 years old now .. they grow so fast, don't they?"
Then a massive, slow moving wave gently washed the playground and he disappeared. I dived into its ocean and as I swam toward the cave portal located near the bottom .. I heard the song, "Seven veils in the sea of life
..
I just went to the Doobie Bros. web site and noticed they have a winged heart for the cover of one of their latest albums. Winged hearts abound
just last nite .. Michael gave me my late Christmas present. Michael commissioned an artist/scultptor friend of ours to make a Winged Heart wall piece. Wow .. it's sooo gorgeous
and it's a rattle too. We hung it in our living room alongside the Huichol and Oaxacan art pieces. Very nice. :)
